It's Fun To Do Good and the Teens Act program knows it!

The Teen Act program is helping high school students that have low GPA’s and are at risk of not graduating. These students typically have a 2.5 or lower GPA, are 1st generation college-bound kids and are on the discounted/free lunch programs. They help students become successful with tutoring, ACT prep, life skills and prep for continued education, they are preparing for a better tomorrow. We chose to recognize this program because of the assistance they are providing for the next generation.

It's Fun To Do Good and the Utah County Children's Justice Center knows it!

The Children’s Justice Center provides a safe place for kids who have experienced abuse and traumatic situations (such as robbery or homicides) and need to be interviewed about the situation. They have play areas for the kids to feel at ease and relax to be able to tell their story. They have resources for the non-offending caregiver/parent. Therapy sessions are also offered to help both kids and parents through these experiences. The Children’s Justice Center has a trained dog named Target. He is there to be a comfort and therapeutic for the kids.  Each child that goes through this center also gets to choose a teddy bear. Each one is different, unique and special, just like the kids. These teddy bears are made and donated by a small local group.

We chose to recognize The Children’s Justice Center because of the support and stability they offer to kids in such a difficult time. The amount of volunteers they bring to one place and the time these volunteers spend truly is what makes life amazing!
