A Precious Child

Knows It's Fun to do Good!

A Precious Child envisions a future where every child grows up to be a secure, self-reliant, contributing member of the community. Unfortunately, there are more than 250,000 children living below the Colorado Self-Sufficiency Standard. A Precious Child’s core initiatives help build the whole child. In addition to meeting basic human needs through our Resource Center and Satellite Resource Centers, they also help children and their families navigate community resources. The work is done through their Empowerment Center where Case Managers provide services to disadvantaged children and families, connecting them with needed resources, services, opportunities and educational support. A Precious Child is able to provide disadvantaged and displaced children with “Cradle to Career“ support to break the cycle of poverty by reducing socioeconomic inequalities through their Economic Mobility Initiatives, which include: Child and Family Advocacy, Family Stability, Academic Success, Social and Emotional Well-Being and Workforce Development.

I Have A Dream Foundation

Knows It's Fun to do Good!

The I Have A Dream foundation provides individualized social, emotional, and academic support to young people from under-resourced communities from 1st grade through college, along with guaranteed tuition support. They strongly believe that when given equal access to the resources they need to succeed, all children can ignite their potential and achieve their dreams. Dreamers are over 3x more likely to earn a bachelor’s degree than their low-income peers. College graduates will earn, on average, an additional $1 Million in lifetime earnings.

Their vision is to “increase Boulder County’s collective commitment to eliminate the opportunity and achievement gap” so that “by 2040, all children in Boulder County are succeeding academically and reaching their full potential.”

FatCats Westminster is proud to say the I have a dream Foundation knows its fun to do good!
