Knows It's Fun to do Good!

It's Fun To Do Good and North Denver Cares in Broomfield, Colorado knows it!

It was a pleasure to visit North Denver Cares Food Pantry and meet Bryan Decker! Bryan Decker was able to show us around their grocery store, showing all the canned goods, pre-made lunch packs, a walk-in filled with Horizon Milk, the carts full of fruits and vegetables and much more! 65% of their product is donated from The Community Food Share. They get a lot donated from Trader Joes and Whole Foods as well. Their mission is to model the love of Jesus Christ by providing food to the hungry and needy people of the North Denver area. They provide temporary, emergency help to the unemployed, underemployed, elders on fixed incomes as well as single parents. They began at a church in early 2003 and has moved to a bigger building since then about 8 years ago. This past year North Denver Cares Food Pantry has helped 28,000 families and gave away 5 million pounds of food as well as donating over 1,000 toys in the holiday season! As they continue growing helping provide for more than 400 families in a week they can always use more non-perishable food items like mac n cheese and peanut butter as well as any extra helping hands! They are a 100% volunteer organization that is open three days a week. If interested in lending a hand you can look them up on their website http://northdenvercares.org/ or give them a call at 303-466-2115! Thank you North Denver Cares Food Pantry for everything you do!
