Knows It's Fun to do Good!

BYU-I AstroFest 2019

It's Fun To Do Good and BYU-I's Astrofest 2019 knows it!

This month on June 18th FatCats met with Stephen McNeil and Natalie Macbeth of the physics department at BYU-Idaho here in Rexburg. Stephen and Natalie helped organize this year’s AstroFest. AstroFest is a free physics and space event open to the community with various hands-on activities that help inspire and educate children of all ages. This year they had about 500 people come and participate despite some rainy weather. We love that they were able to bring together so many people and provide such a fun way for children to learn and experience science.

It's Fun To Do Good and "Mr. Rexburg" knows it!

Later, FatCats met with Jacob, a member of a small group of people who created Mr. Rexburg, a local bodybuilding competition. Not only did they organize this fun community competition, but 100% of the proceeds made from the event were donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project is a nationwide organization that aids and supports Veterans and service members who have incurred physical or mental injuries and illnesses. We loved that Mr. Rexburg was able to raise around $200 for the service men and women of our country.
